Sectional Couch Slipcovers
Sectional Couch Slipcovers Information
I thought it was important for me to talk to you about sectional couch slipcovers because these aren't as easy to find as you would assume. Finding the slipcovers for a couch, chair and even a recliner is much easier than a sectional. A sectional couch is one of those large couches that you find. They're bent at a 90 degree angle typically and that allows you have to have more sitting room. Typically the two parts of the sectional can break in two, but normally they're supposed to be hooked together completely because that makes them look the best in the room. When it comes to actual couch slipcovers it can be quite difficult to get them to fit. A slipcover is just like a glove. It fights tightly over your hand. Well, the slipcover fits tightly over the couch and as you can guess it is quite difficult to get something that will fit tightly over a massive sectional that has a 90 degree bend in it. And since it is hard to find these different kinds of couch slipcovers, people just generally forget about it and don't even try looking. I thought I could help you out a bit with this.
Custom Couch SlipcoversThe best way for you to go is getting a custom made slipcover for your sectional. I think this is really the only way to go. You would have to go to a tailor or someone that is very good at sewing and have them make something for you. You would have to give them the exact measurements of your couch to make sure this fits perfectly. Many people seem to think that they can easily get around this problem by breaking the sectional in half and just getting two regular sized slipcovers. The issue with that is that you won't have an arm rest on the sides of the couch and the regular couch slipcovers will not fit. When you go with a custom look it is going to fit and it is going to be of the color/design that you want. The obstacle is that you're going to have to find someone to make it for you and you're going to have to pay them for making it.
Make a Slipcover for a CouchI know many of you want to know how to make a slipcover for a couch and I wish I could tell you. This is something I wouldn't dare to attempt on my own unless I was very experienced with sewing. You're going to have trouble with it. It's not that you have something that covers your couch. It has to fit tightly over your couch and it has to be tight against all the curves. If you're unable to achieve that then it looks like you just put a blanket over the sectional couch and I know no one really wants to have anything that looks like that.
